Job Description

THE POSITION:

We are seeking a skilled scientific content designer to support the Global Medical Affairs team in delivering high quality and value driven services to clients. This individual will be responsible for the creation of engaging medical content based on client requirements and inputs from the medical content development team at EVERSANA.

This role will support the development and creation of innovative and impactful medical content for multiple clients. Creation support will include medical information scientific response documents, frequently asked questions, brochures/newsletters, infographics, scientific posters, abstracts, manuscripts, medical training slide decks, medical science liaison slide decks, videos, etc. The key focus will also be assisting with developing templates and style guides and creating innovative graphical content, including interactive PDFs, infographics, and digitally friendly content.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plays a key role in supporting Global Medical Affairs, Medical Information, Medical Communication, and Medical Content Development teams in delivering high-quality content for clients requiring medical content development services.
  • Provides graphic design support for medical and scientific materials related to Medical Affairs, Medical Information, and Medical Communications. This includes, but is not limited to, Scientific Response Documents (SRDs), Interactive SRDs, Newsletters, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), slide decks, abstracts, posters, congress materials, and educational/training resources for prospective clients.
  • Collaborates closely with medical writers and the content development team to ensure client graphic design requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
  • Assists content developers in creating and updating SOPs, checklists, templates, style guides, and other guidance documents as needed.
  • Supports leadership and management in developing innovative posters, flyers, and slide decks for presentation at congresses and conferences such as DIA.
  • Stays knowledgeable of industry best practices and supports the leadership team in evaluating and implementing new technologies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and quality of materials developed.
  • Works collaboratively with other medical writers and creative teams across EVERSANA.

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in sciences, complemented by a certificate, diploma, or advanced diploma in Graphic Design or Fine Arts.
  • Language: English. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience and/or Training

  • 5+ years of proven scientific content designing experience with a solid understanding of medical content, specifically medical/scientific communications and medical information.
  • Proven experience working on medical information, scientific response documents (SRDs) and frequently asked questions (FAQs); Newsletters, abstracts/posters/manuscripts; field medical and medical training slide decks; videos; etc.
  • Proven experience developing infographics, interactive PDFs, and digital content. A strong portfolio of Infographic designs, interactive PPTs/PDFs, and other digital and innovative content used in the Pharmaceutical/Healthcare industry
  • Familiarity with design software and technologies such as Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe XD, 3D Studio Max, or other design software
  • In-depth knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and medical illustration principles.
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills, including the ability to independently interpret and summarize complex results. Ability to establish credibility with a variety of audiences, especially with clients.
  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of management and staff and to succeed in a matrix team setting while meeting or exceeding timelines.
  • Excellent project management skills and proven track record of being results-driven.
  • Ability to conceptualize, design, and deliver best-in-class solutions.
