About the Role:

Content is king in today's competitive marketing landscape. It is an essential marketing tool that Unite Us uses to increase brand awareness and conversion rates. Because of this, Unite Us is seeking a Content Strategist. Reporting to the Senior Director of Brand and Communications, the Content Strategist will plan, oversee, and manage the content marketing strategy for the business - based on the business objectives and the needs of our customers. The main focus of the content strategist is content planning, which includes content creation, curation, planning, and research. As a strategist, you will have to brainstorm creative ways of engaging the audience online and produce those engaging content types such as event themes, blogs, articles, reports, print ads and more. The successful candidate should demonstrate strong writing skills and the ability to to take the complex (tech/product language) and make it marketable.

What You'll Do:

  • Research to gain in-depth knowledge of customer personas including customer interviews
  • Staying up to date on industry trends and competitive differentiation
  • Strategizing on content pillars or themes that support overall brand and market objectives
  • Interpret copywriting briefs to understand project requirements
  • Partner with tech and product teams, leadership and sales to develop compelling themes
  • Conduct high-quality research and interviews
  • Write clear, attractive copy with a distinct voice to support strategic initiatives
  • Proofread all marketing collateral and oversee writing style and tone for all content including, but not limited to:
    • Long-form (white papers, issue briefs, proposals)
    • Short-form (designed flyers, documents, blog posts)
    • Web (websites and pages, emails)
    • External presentations
    • Social media
    • Executive papers and press releases
  • Develop and maintain content calendar and editorial schedule so content is consistent across markets and delivery platforms
  • Conduct annual content audit

You’re a great fit for this role if have:

  • At least 5 years business writing experience; plus if in SaaS, Healthcare, or Government sector
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Proven experience as a proofreader or related role
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Understanding of online content strategy and SEO
  • Creative and collaborative spirit
  • Good analytical capabilities
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • BS/BA in marketing, English, journalism or related field

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • This position is remote, U.S. based only
  • The pay range for this role is: $90,000-$120,000. This salary range represents our target hiring range for this role. The proposed salary will be dependent on the candidate's skills, experience, and competencies, as well as location.
  • This position may require 10% travel
  • All team members will be required to pass a background check which includes criminal, employment, and education verification
