The Job at a Glance
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive growth and expand our presence within health insurance companies. The ideal candidate will understand the healthcare industry, strong interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of successfully generating new business opportunities through creative outbound lead generation efforts.
What You’ll Do
Working within an organization created at the intersection of health care, retail and financial technology, no two days will look the same. Typical responsibilities of the role include:
- Execute outbound sales efforts to health plans across the United States.
- Generate new leads through a series of email campaigns, LinkedIn prospecting, & cold calls.
- Qualifying inbound leads ensuring a “white glove" handoff process.
- Conduct over 300+ outbound activities per week to targeted leads.
- Book/schedule 20+ appointments for Sales Executives every month.
- Occasional participation at in-person industry conferences to generate leads.
- Complete customer and lead level research to personalize your outreach efforts.
- Document all outbound activities in Salesforce.
- Execute on the sales process/cadence provided and improve process as appropriate.
- Innovate the sales process and outreach efforts to improve conversion rates.
- Collaborate with the Commercial team and leadership.
- Become an expert of Soda Health and our customers.
About You
While every candidate brings a unique resume and prospective, an ideal candidate will include:
- 1+ years of healthcare technology selling experience.
- Quota carrying experience, consistent track record of exceeding quota.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions persuasively and build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a talent for establishing and nurturing professional relationships based on trust, empathy, and mutual respect.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with a proactive mindset and a relentless focus on achieving goals and driving revenue growth.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and a keen understanding of lead tracking and management best practices.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and embracing new challenges with enthusiasm.
- Active listener who is able to uncover prospects' unique pain points, challenges, and business objectives.
- Highly coachable and willing to receive and implement feedback.
- Bachelor’s degree or similar experience strongly preferred.
Other Requirements
- Occasional travel may be required from time to time as part of the role, for company events and business needs.
- Work Environment. Soda Health is a remote-first, distributed workforce. Candidates should be comfortable with, and equipped to work within, a distributed remote team, including having reliable internet access and basic home office equipment. Soda Health will provide a work laptop, and mouse/keyboard upon request.
