Practice Info

Responsibilities

  • Work clinical shifts
  • Maintain appropriate certifications, licenses, and hospital privileges
  • Obtain and record patient history and perform physical examinations
  • Complete a medical screening exam
  • Order diagnostic laboratory tests, radiological studies or other therapies as appropriate
  • Establish diagnostic decision-making and initiate a treatment plan, which may include ordering medications, additional therapeutic modalities
  • Coordinate patient care with other members of the health care team
  • Initiate consultation requests to other health professionals to provide more comprehensive patient management

Compensation

  • $200k-$250k annually

Shift & Schedule

  • Must be able work extended hours including weekdays, overnights, weekends, and holidays

Requirements

  • Must be flexible and have the ability to travel to various RWJBarnabas locations on a regular basis based on staffing needs
  • Must be able to work proficiently in HM, EM, and ICU
  • Medical knowledge, broad based understanding of clinical emergency and hospital medicine
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Maintains good working relationships with ED/HM/ICU team and hospital medical staff
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Works within legal, regulatory and ethical practice standards
  • Flexibility with scheduling and willing to help out with urgent scheduling needs
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years relevant EM, HM, and/or ICU experience, ideally candidate will be proficient in all
  • Certification in applicable professional boards (NCCPA, ANCC, etc)
  • Licenses to practice in the applicable State
