About the Role
Hims & Hers is looking to hire a Manager, Strategic Finance - Planning Systems lead to join our Strategic Finance organization. Reporting to the Director, FP&A, you will own the architecture behind the company's consolidated planning and reporting cycles, designing how inputs from across the FP&A pillars flow into a coherent, system-based corporate view that informs decisions made by senior leadership, the executive team, and the Board.
This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role for someone who pairs strong financial and business acumen with deep experience in planning tools and finance transformation. You will own end-to-end workstreams, set the standard for how planning and reporting scale, and act as a force multiplier for the brocader FP&A team. We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, high-growth environment and gets energy from building durable infrastructure.
You Will
Own the consolidated planning and reporting engine behind the annual operating plan, long-range plan, and monthly/quarterly forecast cycles, covering data intake, consolidation, and on-time delivery of the outputs reviewed by senior leadership, and lead its evolution into a scalable, system-based architecture
Serve as the functional and technical owner of the financial planning platform (e.g. evaluating EPM tools), leading design, implementation, enhancement, administration, and team enablement
Own the planning systems roadmap end-to-end, including prioritization, UAT, governance, and change management
Drive finance transformation projects that improve automation, standardization, and simplicity across planning and reporting workflows, including embedding AI where it raises analytical quality and reduces manual effort
Design data flows and integrations connecting the planning platform to the ERP, data warehouse, and BI stack, partnering with Accounting, Data Engineering, and Analytics on architecture
Produce executive-facing financial deliverables, including the Weekly Business Review, monthly OpEx review, and quarterly Board and Audit Committee materials, and build dashboards and reporting that surface KPIs and business insights with minimal manual assembly
Partner with category, marketing, and ops finance counterparts to standardize how their inputs are gathered, pressure-tested, and consolidated into a single corporate view
Establish best practices across systems controls, data governance, and planning process documentation
You Have
B.S. in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent experience
6+ years of progressive experience spanning strategic finance / FP&A and finance systems or finance transformation roles
Strong financial and business acumen, including command of P&L mechanics, budgeting, forecasting, and the consolidation mechanics behind a company-wide planning cycle
Hands-on experience implementing, administering, or owning an EPM / planning platform (Anaplan, Pigment, Adaptive, Planful, or similar), including model design and integrations
Demonstrated success leading a finance transformation initiative end-to-end, standing up or materially scaling planning systems and automated reporting, not just contributing components
Ability to manipulate large datasets and translate them into clear, structured, decision-ready outputs
Strong project management instincts, with the ability to run multiple workstreams simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences, from system administrators to the executive team
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a bias toward action in ambiguous, fast-changing environments
Track record of leveraging AI and automation to improve finance workflows
Nice to Have
Proficiency with SQL and experience with BI tools (Looker, Amplitude); NetSuite or similar ERP integration experience
Experience at a high-growth public company (recent IPO) or late-stage startup (Series C+) that has scaled through significant revenue and organizational growth
Exposure to a public company's external reporting cycle (Board, Audit Committee, earnings/guidance)
Our Benefits (there are more but here are some highlights):
Competitive salary & equity compensation for full-time roles
Unlimited PTO, company holidays, and quarterly mental health days
Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental & vision, and parental leave
Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP)
401k benefits with employer matching contribution
Offsite team retreats
We are committed to building a workforce that reflects diverse perspectives and prioritizes ethics, wellness, and a strong sense of belonging. If you're excited about this role, we encourage you to apply—even if you're not sure if your background or experience is a perfect match.
