About the Role:
We are looking for a Site Leader to run the day-to-day operations of our LiveWell, mail-order pharmacy in Ontario, Canada. The Site Leader will build foundational processes, and drive a slate of important improvement efforts across the facility. Your role will bring operational discipline, support safe/scalable growth, and turn a developing facility into a high-performing, compliant, efficient operation.
This is the first dedicated on-site operations leadership role in the building. You will have broad responsibility for execution, cross-functional coordination, and keeping multiple building-level initiatives moving at once. Think of it as an early-stage operator role: sleeves up, details matter, and momentum is everything.
You Will:
Own day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, ensuring safety, quality, compliance, throughput, and service levels are consistently met.
Partner closely with pharmacists and pharmacy assistants to optimize workflow, eliminate friction, and build repeatable routines.
Lead the execution of a prioritized remediation plan covering facilities, safety, security, operational efficiency, and transportation.
Work cross-functionally with US-based teams (Compliance, Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, Security, Transportation, Ops Efficiency, etc.) to implement recommendations and track progress to completion.
Identify quick wins and longer-term upgrades; build a cadence for sustainable improvement.
Serve as the on-site operational leader, supporting a team of pharmacists, technicians, and assistants and guiding daily operations, in line with facility KPIs and throughput goals.
Support onboarding, training, and capability development as the site grows.
In conjunction with the head pharmacist, support adherence to all applicable Canadian pharmacy regulations and internal policies.
Partner with Compliance and Quality to ensure SOPs are followed and updated as needed.
Support planning and execution of facility upgrades, equipment installations, workflow redesigns, and expansion initiatives.
Own coordination with contractors, vendors, and internal project teams on building-related improvements.
Prepare the site for future volume growth, new programs, and operational complexity.
Act as the on-site point person for cross-functional partners across Enablement, Fulfillment, Engineering, Compliance, Finance, and Transportation.
Communicate status, risks, and dependencies clearly and proactively - no surprises.
Drive alignment between site needs and the broader operations strategy.
Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for safety, quality, productivity, throughput, culture, and remediation progress.
Implement basic operational rhythms: daily stand-ups, weekly tracking, and post-mortems when needed.
Bring data and facts to decisions; escalate issues early.
You Have:
5+ years of hands-on operations experience in a regulated, high-throughput, or fulfillment-type environment (pharmacy, healthcare, manufacturing, distribution, or similar).
4-year degree preferred, in a field relevant to the role
Demonstrated ability to manage a facility or department with multiple simultaneous workstreams and competing priorities.
Strong project execution skills - organized, persistent, practical.
Experience driving compliance, health & safety, or quality programs.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills; comfortable working with remote cross-functional teams.
Bias toward action and comfort operating in a developing, ambiguous environment.
Our Benefits (there are more but here are some highlights):
Competitive salary & equity compensation for full-time roles
Unlimited PTO, company holidays, and quarterly mental health days
Offsite team retreats
Disclosures
