About Foundation Health
Foundation Health is transforming healthcare through an AI-powered digital pharmacy platform that seamlessly connects operational infrastructure with high quality patient experiences. Our mission is to transform patient centric care by connecting fragmented infrastructure, optimizing care coordination, and removing friction from the patient journey. We refuse to adhere to the status quo; instead, we actively pioneer solutions that will shape the healthcare practices of tomorrow.
This ambitious vision is only achievable with the dedication of the right team propelling us forward. We firmly believe that a supportive and inspiring work environment fuels creativity, transforming it into groundbreaking innovation. It is this very innovation that not only benefits our organization but also positively impacts our people, partners, and most importantly, our patients.
At Foundation Health, we foster a culture that encourages our team members to broaden their horizons, urging them to bring their passion and curiosity to the workplace each day. We understand that diverse perspectives fuel progress, and we actively seek individuals who share our commitment to excellence and forward-thinking.
Fixing Healthcare, One System at a Time
Healthcare runs on workflows built in the 90s. We're changing that — specifically in pharmacy, where we're building AI-powered infrastructure that plugs directly into EHR platforms, helping health systems actually function at scale. Not a chatbot. Not a wrapper. Real, deep infrastructure that changes how care gets delivered.
We're a Series A company already in production with enterprise customers already - so, the PMF question is answered. Now we're building the team that scales it.
The Role
Senior Engineer at Foundation Health means hands-on, high-ownership work. You'll contribute to system design, take on complex features end-to-end, and care about the quality of what ships — not just whether your ticket is closed.
You'll work closely with Staff engineers and directly shape how we build. This isn't a "execute the spec" role.
What you'll be doing
Writing clean, well-considered code on a modern Node/TypeScript/GCP stack — no legacy baggage. Picking up hard problems, producing solid design docs, and reviewing your peers' work in a way that actually helps them improve.
We're not precious about your current stack. A strong engineer can pick up a new language almost immediately — we care far more about how you think and what you've built.
You'll use AI tools as a natural part of how you work — Cursor, Claude — and contribute to features that incorporate AI directly. We're native by design, not bolting it on.
You'll flag issues early, push back when something doesn't make sense, and take real ownership over the surface area you work on — correctness, reliability, the lot.
What we're looking for
Solid experience building production systems — you can point to things you've shipped and talk through the decisions
High agency — you don't need perfect information to move forward
Comfortable with some ambiguity; Series A pace is real
Already using AI tools in your day-to-day
Strong CS fundamentals
Why now, why us
You'd be joining as one of the founding engineers in a new hub. That means real influence — on the product, the architecture, and the culture we build here. Meaningful equity, a seat at the table, and work that actually touches people's lives through the healthcare system.
