FOLX Health is currently seeking an experienced Controller to join our Finance team. Reporting to and working in close partnership with the VP of Finance, the Controller will lead and support development of our Accounting and Finance expertise. What You'll Do:

• Build, oversee and direct accounting function and all related accounting activity for the organization (including but not limited to AR/AP, Payroll, build out of revenue and billing function, etc.)
• Direct and control the general accounting activities, including monthly close activities, recording company transactions, classifications, key judgments, and reconciliation of account balances in accordance with GAAP and company policy
• Lead the documentation of accounting procedures; ensure implementation of requisite system changes to support the organization, new products, automation of financial reporting and processes, etc.
• Support the development and implementation of accounting systems and controls, working closely with internal stakeholders and external consultants in planning and executing the annual financial audit and tax filings, including managing capitalization schedule and stock-based compensation
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and adherence and implement new policies as necessary while working closely with leaders and internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate understanding and interpretation of financial results
• Support Head of Revenue Cycle Management to account for and appropriately schedule AR against payer reimbursement cycles
• Lead BvA reconciliation monthly by department and cost center
• Lead treasury and cash management function, including relationship with banks and investment account management
• Oversee payroll and other employee benefits in collaboration with HR

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree and at least 7 years experience in corporate accounting or a controller role
• At least 5 years experience building, managing, mentoring, and leading accounting and finance teams through significant growth
• Certified Public Accountant
• Industry experience working with direct-to-consumer healthcare companies; prior experience in a high growth stage startup environment a plus
• Industry experience and knowledge regarding revenue recognition, lease accounting, R&D capitalization and best practices
• Expert knowledge and understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation, analysis, and reporting
• Proven leadership, business partnership, and presentation skills with the ability to manage and influence organizations
• Strong and efficient written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational/multitasking skills, with the ability to plan/prioritize to ensure efficient and timely deliverables
• Proven experience successfully leading and executing financial audits and tax filings
• Experience working with a variety of financial platforms i.e. Quickbooks, Stripe, Ramp, etc.
• Experience in evaluating, implementing, and working with ERP systems is a plus
