Founded in August, 2019, we are obsessed with eliminating wasteful friction patients and doctors experience in areas that have nothing to do with health and treatment, particularly for diagnoses that require expensive procedures or medications. To that end, we build software that is expressly designed to ensure the appropriate plan of care is understood and expeditiously approved, so that patients and doctors can focus on health, rather than payment or administrative hassles.

Opportunity Overview

Cohere is looking for a Senior Manager of Strategic Accounts to play an important role in scaling and growing our key accounts. Reporting to the SVP of Strategic Accounts, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong customer relationships and driving key initiatives related to our growth and success. Your role will be directly customer facing and the work you do will have a direct impact on the growth of the company and our ability to impact more patients at a time in their healthcare journey when they need help most.

What you will do:

  • Own the relationship for key Cohere accounts, ensuring that we well positioned and set up for success and growth
  • Deeply understand how Cohere’s product and client solutions work and actively identify opportunities to drive growth and improve the value prop with clients
  • Develop analyses to inform the customer roadmap and support Cohere in key strategic business decisions
  • Rapidly develop materials including polished decks to communicate with Cohere’s customers, refining and clarifying the message to ensure it resonates with your accounts
  • Support evaluation of expansion options with customers, including all considerations (financial, operational, etc.)
  • Work cross-functionally with clinical, compliance, operations, data science, and engineering teams to solve complex problems
  • Superb communicator; capable of distilling complex ideas into simple concepts that are easily explainable to others
  • Strong grasp of business finance and business strategy; practical by nature
  • Self-directed, confident, and thrive working in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Experienced with data and technology; strong understanding of how technology businesses operate and ability to communicate them simply to others
  • Excellent at distilling signal from noise; Capable of quickly synthesizing large amounts of information to the root of what is actually going on

Your background & requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree. Masters degree a plus
  • 5-10 years of experience working for top-tier consulting firm, big-tech, health-tech, startup, or similar environment
  • Significant experience working in healthcare, preferable with health plans
  • Strong relationship builder and communicator, both for internal and external relationships
  • Experience at a startup and comfort in ambiguous situations
  • Self-directed, confident, and thrive working in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Analytical mindset and ability to build strong business cases in support of customer growth
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with demanding customer expectations
  • Willingness to help with anything that is needed and to be flexible as customer needs shift
  • Passionate about improving the U.S. healthcare system and helping ensure every patient receives the best care possible
  • Remote, occasional travel
